In the footsteps of the Albanian diaspora in Istanbul!

The more the Albanian diaspora networks and communicates all over the world, the more influence we gain as individuals and as a nation in the countries we live in and come from!

 From March 19th to 23rd, a unique dialogue took place in Istanbul between our diaspora from Germany, Italy, Belgium, and Spain, as well as partner associations from Albania and the Istanbul Vatra Association. Together, we discussed about our history, the historical contributions of many Albanians in Turkey, and the conscious representation and transmission of our values to younger generations. Thank you, Vatra Istanbul, for this EQUINOX 2025 in historic Constantinople with countless Albanian footprints!

 👉 3000 Years in Istanbul: > From the walls of Constantine the Great to the churches of the Byzantine Empire and the mosques of the Ottoman Empire, from Istanbul’s historical archives with Albanian documents dating back to 1435 to the architectural masterpieces of the architect Sinan, from the books of the great Albanian philosopher and poet Sami Frasheri to Turkey’s oldest football club, Galatasaray, founded by his son Ali Sami, and to many other footprints left by tens of thousands of Albanians over many, many generations!🍀
