Directions

Our IDEAL-Office is very centrally located in Essen near the main railway station. Unfortunately, there are only limited parking facilities there! The car parks near the IDEAL-Office are subject to a charge and are limited in time. We therefore advise our visitors to use public transport. IDEAL is very easy to reach in Essen by bus and train due to its central location near the main railway station.

TRAVELLING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

For an environmentally friendly journey, we recommend that you use Deutsche Bahn AG. There are over 120 ICE, InterCity, EuroCity and InterRegio connections in all directions from Essen Central Station every day. From Essen Central Station, you can easily reach our office on foot via the “Süd / Freiheit” exit. Cross the two pedestrian lights and then follow Rellinghauser Str. for 100 metres to house no. 22.

APPROACH FROM THE WEST (AND NORTH)

A40 direction Essen
Exit Essen-Zentrum
Turn half left at the first set of traffic lights (towards the main railway station)
Follow the main road straight ahead for approx. 1 km
50 m after the third set of traffic lights (at the main railway station) turn right behind the miners’ memorial into Rellinghauser Straße
our office is located approx. 100 m further on the right in house no. 22

APPROACH FROM THE EAST (AND NORTH)

A40 direction Essen
Exit Essen-Zentrum
Get into the left-hand lane after the first set of traffic lights
turn at the next set of traffic lights and follow the main road for approx. 400 metres straight ahead
50 metres after the next set of traffic lights (near the main railway station) turn right behind the miners’ memorial into Rellinghauser Straße
our office is located approx. 100 m further on the right in house no. 22

APPROACH FROM THE SOUTH

Motorway A3 direction Oberhausen
At the motorway junction Breitscheid change to the A52 direction Essen
Take the Essen-Rüttenscheid exit
at the first possibility turn left into Norbertstrasse, direction Messe/Gruga
after approx. 800 m turn left onto the B224 towards Essen city centre
after approx. 2 km turn right towards the main railway station
50 m after the next traffic lights (at the level of the main railway station) turn right behind the miners’ memorial into Rellinghauser Straße
Our office is located approx. 100 metres further on the right in house no. 22
Please also note that the environmental zones are valid throughout the Ruhr area and that a yellow or green environmental badge is required for entry.

TRAVELLING BY PLANE

When you fly, your destination is Düsseldorf Airport. With over 500 take-offs and landings every day, it offers flight connections to over 170 cities in Germany and abroad. You can reach us by taxi in about 20 minutes via the A52 motorway.
From Düsseldorf Airport railway station you can choose between three ICE lines (40/45, 10 and 41), which will take you to Essen Central Station in just 22 minutes. There are also three regional express trains (RE1, 6 and 11) to and from Essen Central Station in addition to the S-Bahn (S1). You can reach us in 5 minutes on foot from Essen Central Station (see above).
